Huey Lewis and The News – 2014 Festival at Sandpoint
Last night I had the pleasure of doing some freelance work for the Bonner County Daily Bee covering the Huey Lewis and The News show at the 2014 Festival at Sandpoint. One fun fact about the show is that my next door neighbor when I was growing is the lead singer for the opening act, The Miah Kohal Band. It was fun to see this talented local band playing to the sell out crowd and they put on a great show. During those growing up years who would have guessed that Miah would someday be playing the same stage as one of my favorite bands. Well, enough with the nostalgia, on with the photos!

“Home” 2013 Sandpoint Dance Production
This last Friday night I once again had the pleasure of capturing images from the Sandpoint Dance Team’s spring production put at Sandpoint High School. The production features many routines by the Sandpoint High School Dance Team along with special performances by the Beginning and Intermediate Dance Classes, the Middle School Dance Team. Also performing are the talented youngsters from Allegro Dance Studio and Heather’s School of Dance.

Festival at Sandpoint – Counting Crows
In August the Counting Crows visited Northern Idaho for the Festival at Sandpoint and now, only 8 short months later, I am finally getting around to posting some photos from the concert on my blog.

Slipperzzz at the Pend Oreille Playhouse (Newport Washington Photographer)
A couple of months ago my wife noticed that the Pend Oreille Playhouse in Newport, Washington was going to have auditions for an upcoming play called Slipperzzz. The casting call was for actors in grades 3-6 and my daughter decided she wanted to give acting a try. The play followed the story of Cob the shoemaker and the 12 dancing princesses who keep wearing out their shoes. Slipperzzz was written by Jeannette Jacquish, and directed by Alyssa Miller and Duncan Heaney and they did an outstanding job with these 25 actors ranging in ages from 8 to 13.
I attended three of the six permanence and for two of them I was there early to get some behind the scenes photos. Priest River’s 2012 Distinguished Young Women
The 2012 Distinguished Young Women program in Priest River featured 10 talented young ladies, all of which did a great job. When the event was completed and the judges votes were tabulated it was Melissa Trost that was announced as this year’s winner with Steffie Pavey coming in as the runner up. Brenton Brown at Mountain Springs Church (Bonners Ferry Photographer)
This last Sunday Mountain Springs Church (www.mtspringschurch.org) in Bonners Ferry celebrated their second birthday. I was blessed to have the opportunity to be there to capture some images while Christian recording artist Brenton Brown (www.brentonbrown.com) led the Sunday night worship service. Michael Franti Concert – 2011 Festival at Sandpoint
Tonight, after shooting a surprise wedding vow renewal, I was able to make it to the Festival at Sandpoint’s Michael Franti concert to see if I could get some shots to submit to the Daily Bee. Everyone was having a great time and I certainly enjoyed the show the best way I know how, up close with my 70-200 lens! Here are a few of my favorites from tonight’s concert.
